SUNY Delhi is seeking to fill a full-time Head Athletic Trainer position. The College offers 19 sports at the NCAA Division III level. This is a 10-month period of obligation, annually renewable position. Anticipated start date: August 1, 2021.
Responsibilities:
SUNY Delhi's two athletic trainers work in conjunction to provide management of a comprehensive Athletic Training program. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with, and provide oversight for, all athletic training services including:
Prevention, care, and rehabilitation;
Providing athletic training services during practices, home contests, and selected away competitions;
Providing supervision of student assistants;
Working collaboratively with SUNY Delhi Health Service Practitioners, Director of Health and Counseling Services, Health Care Administrator and coaching staff for the health and welfare of all student-athletes participating on the College's NCAA Division III sanctioned athletic teams.
This position will also include additional athletics related responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Athletic Training
1-3 years college level athletic training experience
National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
NYS Athletic Trainer licensure or eligible to be licensed
First-Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR/AED certified
Effective written and verbal communication, computer, and web related skills
Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
2 - 3 years NCAA Division III Collegiate Athletic Training Experience
First-Aid/CPR - instructor certification (American Red Cross preferred)
Additional Information:
Obligation: College Year 10-month, non-obligation period is June and July
Work schedule: Full-time, various nights, and weekends with scheduled athletic competitions. Periodic travel to away athletic events as needed
