Job Summary:
 This is a dual outreach and clinical position providing athletic training outreach duties to Orlando Orthopaedic Center Sports Medicine. Responsibilities will consist of marketing, athletic training sports coverage, clinical athletic training, and administrative duties. Outreach hours will vary and may include some nights and weekends.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training; Master’s Degree preferred
NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing
Florida License in Athletic Training
CPR/AED certified
NPI number
Valid Florida driver’s license
Pass a background check
Qualifications And Experience:
3 - 5 years’ work experience as an Athletic Trainer
Experience providing athletic training services in both the clinical and traditional settings
Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of sports injury tracking, ImPACT, practice management and electronic health record software
Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Public speaking
Excellent customer service a must
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Outreach Responsibilities
Provide athletic training services, coverage, and supplies for club sports, secondary schools, college or universities, and professional programs as directed by the Sports Medicine & Community Marketing Director.
Assist with the coordinating and set up for all high school sports physicals with those schools associated with OOC.
Attend weekly Friday night high school football games with those schools associated with OOC.
Coordinate OOC physician coverage for high school football, high school sports physicals, and all physician coverage opportunities.
Assist with the planning and coordinating of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Foundation
Conferences and other continuing education courses.
Assist with referral tracking of OOC patients from all sports programs.
Responsible for maintaining relationships with local athletic trainers in all settings.
Assist with marketing OOC Sports Medicine to the local sports programs and athletic trainers in the community to maintain and create new relationship opportunities.
Assist with general marketing and community events.
Assist with OOC Foundation events as directed by the OOC Foundation Director.
Maintain communication among the Physicians, Marketing Department, DME Athletic Trainers, and Physician Teams at all times.
Must be available to drive to all OOC events and locations as directed by the Sports Medicine & Community Outreach Athletic Trainer.
Be able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Clinical Responsibilities- DME and Industrial Athletic Trainer
Cover for DME staff in the clinic when assistance is needed. This includes fitting patients with a wide variety of orthopaedic braces and devices, be able to create and demonstrate a home exercise program for patient’s based on orthopaedic injuries/orthopaedic surgeries, and inventory tracking.
Document above brace fittings and submit charges per legal guidelines for the State of
Florida so that OOC can be reimbursed for the services provided.
Cover for the Industrial Athletic Trainer when assistance is needed. This includes instructing/managing employee preventative exercise programs and evaluating/treating work related orthopaedic injuries.
Assist with general upkeep of the clinic (wiping down tables, equipment, etc.).
General Administration
Maintains detailed knowledge of sports injury tracking, ImPACT, practice management, electronic health record and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
Attends continuing education courses as requested.
Completes all other duties as assigned by the to the Sports Medicine & Community Marketing Director.
Outreach hours will vary and may include some nights and weekends upon the request of the Sports Medicine & Community Marketing Director.

Typical Physical Demands
Work requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally with frequent lifting between 5-10 pounds. Work requires the ability to sit, stoop, crouch and kneel as needed during job responsibilities. Position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a computer, telephone, calculator, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary.
Position also requires viewing computer screens and typing for long periods of time and working in an environment which may be stressful. This position requires travel.
