What You Will Do:
Towson Sports Medicine/University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a full time certified athletic trainer in the clinic outreach setting. The primary placement for this position will be at a co-ed private hiigh school in the Baltimore area. The athletic trainer will provide the following services to youth student athletes: evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, development and implementaion of prevention programs, practice and game coverage. The qualified applicant will serve as a liaison between parents, athletes, coaches, administrators and their supervising team physicians from University of Maryland Towson Orthopaedic Associates. Furthermore, the athletic trainer will be responsible for the oversight and safeguarding of injury records and other protected health information, injury tracking, assorted monthly reports, supply purchasing and inventory, budget development and monitoring. As a member of the Towson Sports Medicine clinical staff, applicant will be requred to attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and provide other contractual athletic training services assigned by manager.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Bacheor's Degree
State of Maryland Athletic Training License required
Current Evaluation and Treatment Protocol required
BLS required
