Position Summary
The Department of Athletics at Michigan State University is searching for a Head Rowing Coach to plan, manage and direct all phases of a successful Big Ten Conference women’s rowing program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Identify, evaluate, recruit and allocate athletic grants-in-aid to prospective student-athletes that have the ability to be successful in the classroom, in competition and with community engagement activities
Develop and motivate student-athletes in order for them to attain success in all phases of their academic and intercollegiate athletic experience
Lead the program with integrity and honor to ensure the women’s rowing program is a point of pride for the athletic department, institution and conference by being compliant with institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations
Provide oversight with all phases of the program’s budget and be engaged in fundraising initiatives and events
Work collaboratively with all department units, university personnel, conference personnel, NCAA personnel and sport specific organizations as an ambassador for MSU
Complete other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
A minimum of five years of intercollegiate coaching experience with successful recruiting, coaching and teaching of highly talented student-athletes in women’s rowing.
A demonstrated commitment to adhering to all the policies, rules and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred.
Successful intercollegiate women’s rowing head coaching (or other high level) experience at the Division I level.
