DescriptionThe Hilton Waikoloa Recreation Manager (or Director of Fun)  is responsible for overseeing and managing a great team of pool and water staff as well as guest activities in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.What will I be doing?The Director of Fun will be responsible for overseeing and managing the team, services, and guest activities for the four (4) acre ocean-fed lagoon and the resort's many pools.  Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:nOversee and manage daily guest activities including, but not limited to rentals, service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance, safety and security of property and guests, cleanliness of the beach, responding to guests inquiries and resolving concerns, and meeting participation and facilitationnMonitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, providing professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewardnRecruit, interview and train team membersnRequirementsWhat are we looking for?nMinimum three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role requirednExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsnOpen availability to work varying days and shifts between the hours of 7am-7:30am, with the typical shift being 8am-6pmnOne (1) or more years of experience coordinating recreational activities preferrednOne (1) or more years of experience with budgeting and/or forecasting preferrednSince being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
