As an Associate Underwriter, you will report directly to the Underwriting Manager of Recreation working in the challenging and rewarding segment of insurance. Your impact as an Underwriting Assistant (Underwriting Specialist l) Job Responsibilities:Work within a team environment supporting Underwriters on specialized insurance programsProcess renewal and new business accounts assigned to the Underwriting Specialist and their assigned UnderwritersCommunicate with Insured’s during customer service duties and activitiesProcess binders, certificates, invoices and endorsement changesFile Setup and preparation of policy issuance instructionsLearn the team program(s) so that new business submissions can be qualified for acceptance or declinationYou Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience:Minimum 2 – 4 years working in a commercial underwriting Property and Casualty insurance operation desiredActive Property and Casualty Indiana Insurance license; OR will be required to take the licensing test and obtain the license within the first 6 months of employment.Good verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding organizational skills and time management capabilitiesWork cohesively in a team environment and follow direction wellComputer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook and other company proprietary computer programsUnderstanding of Property and Casualty insurance coverages highly desiredEducation:High School diploma, required.We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
