Principal Responsibilities:
The Aquatics Manager is a key member of the senior staff team responsible for all things aquatics - generate increasing revenue from swim lessons, swim teams, and aquatics skills programming. Recruit/hire/supervise lifeguards and swim Instructors. Supervise the youth aquatics developer. Create a pipeline for future lifeguards and instructors by recruiting and growing our swim lesson and swim team programs. Provide oversight and administration for the current aquatics program, and use your aqua-powers to grow the department. This position has the potential to become full time with appropriate revenue growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in recreation/sports management or related field highly desirable.
Must have current lifeguard, LGI, WSI, CPR/First-Aid, and CPO certifications.
Supervisory skills including budget management, customer relations database software, customer service and communication excellence, team building, conflict resolution, performance evaluation.
Must be nimble, able to work flexible hours (including some nights and weekends)
Works well independently and as part of a team with high personal integrity.
Youth coaching and development experience.
Understanding of liability and safety mitigation.
Ability to use Microsoft Office products and other computer software
