SUMMARY
Arcticom, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a Run Coach for Naval Special Warfare Preparatory Course Training and Support Services.
The Run Coach will provide instruction and coaching to students in the Naval Special Warfare Preparatory Course. The persons for these positions shall have daily contact with junior sailors. As such, they must adhere to the highest standards of conduct in their interaction with these sailors; and understand the student/instructor relationship, the duties of the Physical Training Instructors, and provide the experienced, professional, administrative, and technical support required to achieve the desired degree of student preparation to accomplish program goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are
not
intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
The Physical Training Instructors shall perform physical testing IAW with established guidelines set forth.
Perform and supervise physical training modules with  candidates.
Demonstrate the points of performance for the exercises associated with the PST, as well as ensure exercises are being performed to the established standards.
Prepare candidates for success in SEAL, and SWCC selection and training pipelines by working with applicants to maximize their potential in aquatics and physical training modules. This shall include guidance and application of physical preparedness and training techniques for the PST to include, but not limited to, swim stroke development with and without fins, water confidence, running, and lower and upper body development.
Use the NSWBTC NSWO OIC and subordinate active-duty members assigned to the Preparatory Course as the source of information for SEAL and SWCC training in order to train, brief, and inform candidates of changes in these programs.
Recommend solutions to establish and maintain database/spreadsheet records of NSWBTC candidates and their status in the Naval Special Warfare Preparatory Course, specifically in regard to candidates’ performance on the PST.
Implement the established academic curriculum provided by  NSWBTC.
Increase candidate awareness of physical standards for NSW programs.
Provide medical attention to include, but not limited to, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices while awaiting EMT-P Paramedics on scene.
Facilitate training modules in front of candidates in various forums to include, but not limited, to pool decks, classrooms, workout facilities, and podium lectures.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Current certification as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Distinction (RSCC/D)
Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related physical training field.
Have a minimum of three (3) years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience working as a strength and conditioning coach/instructor in a training environment.
Have a valid and current Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certificate, as recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
It is desired that each Strength and Conditioning Coach have experience with the “General Requirements (4.2.2.3) and “Specific Functions” (4.2.2.4) as detailed below
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Must be task oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as team member.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interact with staff, other departments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide directions.
Ability to work in fast paced and compliance driven environment.
Able to communicate effectively.
Must be a steady, reliable worker.
U.S. citizen
Preferred
Previous experience related to the essential duties and responsibilities outlined for this position.
 Familiarity with Tactical Strength & Conditioning (TSAC)
A valid and current CPR and AED American Red Cross Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Shall be required to perform physical testing IAW with established guidelines set forth in OPNAVINST 6110.1J (Physical Readiness Program).
Physical Training Coaches are required to meet minimum PST standards within 30 calendar days from date of physical check in to Great Lakes NSWBTC IAW current MILPERSMAN 1220-410 (SEAL/EOD/SWCC/DIVER/AIRR PHYSICAL SCREENING TESTING STRANDARDS AND PROCEDURES ) at SWCC candidate standards. Physical Training Instructors Coaches shall maintain a sufficient fitness level to pass these same standards on a yearly basis.
This position requires the ability to maneuver around and see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and contractors. Visual acuity to review written documentation and ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
This position requires working indoors, outdoors and in a pool. Must be able to maintain health in hot and cold conditions with exposure to the elements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
Must have reliable transportation to/from work and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
This position may be subject to random drug and or alcohol testing on an unannounced basis.
As a condition of employment, be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check (Secret) results to obtain access to military base.
