Description Serves as a liaison between Program Directors and Athletic Training Staff. Markets Athletic Training Program. Designs, implements and continuously reviews data-based computer applications. Performance of duties as an Athletic Trainer at designated school. Follows the CHRISTUS guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI). Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: NM Licensure in Athletic Training required. SKILLS: Ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to evaluate, set goals, plan programs, and treat patients. Ability to demonstrate interpersonal relations and communication skills. Ability to express oneself clearly orally and in writing. Ability to develop good rapport and working relationships with physicians and hospital personnel. Ability to supervise professional and support personnel. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization. EXPERIENCE: Experience as an Athletic Trainer required. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director of Non-Acute Care ENVIRONMENT: -Bloodborne pathogen: A Works in a clean, well-lighted, smoke free environment. - Bloodborne pathogen B If involved in clinical contact. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Subject to stressful professional relationships. Working hours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop and communicate written materials. Good physical condition.Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and walking. Lifts, positions, and transfers patients and manipulates occupied equipment. Lifts supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs. Potential strains resulting from lifting heavy patients and equipment.
