Description:
King University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Track and Field/Cross Country Coach (2 positions). The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Track and Field/Cross Country Coach with all aspects of the program, with a specific emphasis on sprints, jumps, and middle-distance training.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required. Candidates should possess a thorough knowledge of track and field, a sophisticated understanding of coaching and training strategies, and a demonstrated ability to enhance student athlete development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree. Experience as a student athlete at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in sprints, jumps, and middle distance training. Demonstrated ability and success in identifying and recruiting student athletes at a private, residential institution.
Responsibilities:
Supervise all activities related to the student athletes; provide professional mentoring to student-athletes; establish the team's competition and practice schedules; Recruit student/athletes that meet King University Admission guidelines to achieve roster goals and field a competitive team; Provide academic, personal, and professional mentoring to student-athletes; Comply with all NCAA rules and regulations;
