Job Summary
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of sports editorial features for our traditional video, mobile and streaming platforms. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable across all sports and skilled at editing and packaging content in a compelling way across platforms. The Sr. Specialist should be proficient at navigating sports schedules, content planning, creation and management as it relates to the larger programming team and business units. The Sr. Specialist should be flexible with scheduling based on the annual tent-pole calendar, seasonality, and special events like the Olympics and FIFA World Cup.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Manage daily sports programming for Xfinity's X1, Flex, XClass TV, Stream app and customer portal
Support Director of Sports Programming with quarterly planning, release planning and prioritization of live sports events and video on demand
Manage cross-platform content pitches for larger editorial group
Interface with Director of Sports Programming to ensure campaigns have been vetted and are ready for production
Work seamlessly with other cross-functional teams, including engineering and metadata leads, UX and design and content partnership stakeholders
Troubleshoot content and metadata and work with triage teams to resolve customer-facing issues
Collaborate with sales and consumer engagement marketing teams on live sports campaigns
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Minimum Requirements
5-7 years' experience in sports media and marketing industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strict attention to detail, spelling and grammar
Sound knowledge of pro and college sports, leagues, players, teams, organizations and popular networks
Ability to write creative and engaging copy and craft compelling on-platform campaigns
Familiarity with social media platforms
Ability to cover special assignments and events
Experience with content management systems and web analytics tools
Basic experience with Photoshop, Slack, Teams and Excel
Bachelor's degree (Journalism, English or Communication majors preferred), or equivalent experience
