In casinos all around the world and even in most online casinos the variation of Live Dealer Baccarat most commonly played is the Punto Banco version. This style of game is played in the United States, Australia, Canada, Sweden and Macau. Unlike the other two variations the Baccarat Chemin de Fer and the Baccarat Banque. In this version the players bet either on the Banker, the Player or the can bet for a Tie. The Player and the Banker are just simple terms used in this game and does not refer to anyone. The cards will be given out face down at first, one card will go to the Player on the table first and the second card will go to the Banker. Each bet will have two cards. Then both hands are revealed and the croupier which is the casino employee who will be running the game will add up the two cards given to each bet. Once the hands are called out there may be additional cards that may be taken or the hand can stand. Baccarat is very easy to play, you are playing with a standard deck of cards, there are no wild cards or anything different than what the cards say they are. For example, if the cards that are given are a number 2 through a 9 then these cards are accepted at face value. The Aces are worth one point and the 10 cards and the Jack, Queen and King are worth zero points. What happens here is if you are initially given a 6 and 3 then your score is a perfect 9. But if you have a 10 and a 6 then your score is a 6. But if in the case that you are dealt an 8 and 6 which equals 14 then you just take those cards and your total will be a 4 because the first digit is dropped . If you get a 4 and a 6 then the cards equal 10 but your score would be zero again because the first digit is dropped. There are so many combination of things that you can do here. The ultimate end of the game for you as a player is to get the highest hand possible. The game is like poker in the sense if you need extra cards to get closer to your score then you are allowed to draw from them. If you receive a total of an 8 or a 9 then there will be no extra taking of cards. But anything below that you want to add other cards. The way that rule works if you have any of these combinations If the player has a total of less than 5 then the player will be allowed to take one more card. If the players' hand equals a 6 or 7 then they will stand on what they have. Now, the bankers hand is different. The play the banker makes will depend on what was dealt and if the player happened to take any cards. It is all about who has the highest total.
