Jujitsu training is one way to learn complete body control while fine-tuning your balance and reflexive actions. Jujitsu is form of martial arts that originated from the Samurai and is essential to hand to hand combat. Jujitsu means the Gentle Art and are said to be based on many Oriental legends. When using Jujitsu, you use your opponent's energy against him. There are some weapons in the traditional version such as the Katana and the spear. However, we will not be focusing on these types.
Jujitsu is designed to take your opponent to the floor, and finish it with either a locked grip or thrown away from you. In Jujitsu Training, you will cover this and many more important moves.
When training using Jujitsu, you need to have a trained partner, who can point out what you are doing right and where you need to improve. He or she needs to allow you to complete the move before pointing out what you did wrong. Also, your partner should not let you get frustrated or worn out only doing one move, but rotate with other ones as well.
After you follow through the attack, you need to move over to one side and not back away from him. If you choose to follow through with a punch or jab then you can give yourself time to plant your feet properly.
Your breathing needs to controlled and shallow, when you practice any martial arts moves. If you end up having to perform a kick after your attack, then you will find that you have the proper lung capacity to follow through.
As with any sparring, you are there to avoid being hit while throwing the least number of moves, but also the most effective. If you end up having to use your sparring moves for self-defense, then you need to focus only on the Vital Points and not play around with fancy moves that get you hurt or worse. Remember to keep your body and mind going through the motions while never allowing your body to show the fear you might be feeling at the time.
In Jujitsu training, you will learn moves such as grappling, throws, joint locks, chokes and various type of holds. You will also learn proper striking methods, kicking, punches, knees and elbows as well. With Jujitsu, you will learn how to move from one of these techniques to another, and then another until you defeat your opponent.
When looking into learning Jujitsu training, you need to pay close attention to which form you are interested. Many of these forms are not intended for a beginner and should only be practiced with a professional, generally at the studio.
