Sports persons need their agents to be around them when they make crucial decisions and to handle media bites too. An agent, in the course of time gets so close to the sports person that he can handle their mood swings efficiently and act as a motivator too.

Remuneration

Sport management jobs are at various levels and one is paid according to the post. An agent can be remunerated a fixed amount each month or can hold a percentage in the earnings of the sports person. One can even get a million dollars per year if he is on a percentage basis. But it is not the money that drives them; it is the sheer pleasure and the love for the sport.
